Flowerpot Island is absolutely worth the boat ride
The sea caves and those iconic rock formations at Flowerpot Island are something else. Crystal clear water, easy trails, and the views from the cliffs are just stunning. Great spot for snorkeling too.
Best diving I've done in freshwater, full stop
The shipwrecks in Georgian Bay are unreal. Visibility is incredible and there are so many wrecks to explore at different skill levels. The local dive shops are super helpful and well-equipped. Definitely a bucket list dive destination.
Little harbour town with a big personality
The Little Tub Harbour area is so pretty - colourful boats, fresh fish from the docks, and great little spots to grab a bite. Tried the fish and chips from a local shack and they were genuinely some of the best I've had. Relaxed pace, friendly locals.
Perfect family trip - kids loved every bit of it
Tobermory kept the whole family busy without being overwhelming. The ferry to Flowerpot Island was a highlight for the kids, and the water is so clear you can see straight to the bottom. Easy to navigate and not too crowded even in summer.
Nature at its finest up here
Bruce Peninsula National Park is right on the doorstep and the hiking trails are gorgeous. Rocky shorelines, turquoise water, ancient cedar trees - it looks like somewhere far more exotic. Trails are well marked and not too difficult for casual hikers.
Quiet, pretty, and a great escape from city life
Came in late December just to decompress. The harbour is peaceful in the off-season and the town itself is cozy and quiet. Loved walking along Big Tub Harbour and spotting the shipwrecks below the surface even without diving gear. Really special place.
